Individual

coaching

Individual coaching is designed to enhance performance, give the coachee ‘time out’ to reflect, focus and plan action towards agreed objectives and priorities within their role in their work or business.

A typical programme consists of six two-hour confidential meetings over a four to seven month period. The number of sessions and the timing can be adjusted depending upon the specific needs and immediacy of the individual’s objectives.

All individual coaching is focused upon:

* Defining accurately and inspiringly what the client wants to achieve, change        or develop

* Helping the client gain exceptional clarity about issues they face

* Exploring ways to overcome whatever hinders progress

* Increasing self belief and confidence in their ability to move forward

The first session is spent ensuring that we have a set of objectives for the coaching programme that represent accurately all that the client wishes to address. It is important that these objectives are aligned with the client's  overall view of their life and their values. We would explore this in some depth.

The agenda of the remaining five sessions is driven by the client (in line with their objectives) and we work upon real examples that occur between sessions. Whilst the purpose of the coaching is to support achievement of objectives, our focus would equally be upon considering how the client as an individual moves forward and the relevance and complexity of the desired change in behaviour.

The client is encouraged to develop ways of thinking and working that will be sustained long after the completion of the programme.

Typical issues have included: leadership, communication,  role definition, determining long term objectives, planning, delegation, relationships with colleagues, team-work, time management, company systems, feedback and acknowledgement, setting and managing priorities, commitment, accountability, life balance and many more…
