Team coaching

Effective team-work, created within the context of the task, increases the team’s performance.

In every team meeting there are two elements present - what the team is working upon and how they are working on the task together. Team coaching enhances both through a flexible synthesis of team facilitation, organisational feedback, neuroscience, sports psychology, working in real time on live projects, team and individual development.

The team dynamic, where the team sits in the organisation, which stage it is in in terms of team evolution and the tasks and challenges it faces determines the specific combination and approach.

In most cases the coaching process will include clarifying the purpose of the team, specific project objectives, the team’s relationship and contribution to the wider organisation, the qualities of individual team members and how they contribute or hinder the performance. Time is spent exploring core values, agreeing direction, discussing strengths and weaknesses or areas of discord and reviewing working practices.

A typical programme would consist of four to eight in-depth sessions over a six to twelve month period to maximise learning and performance on specific current business issues.
